Good news: You don’t need to walk 10,000 steps a day to be ‘healthy’

magazine included Katherine Balantekin in a report on new research that suggests you can walk less than 10,000 steps a day and still reap some major health rewards. “It’s not that moving 10,000 steps a day is not good for health. It certainly is,” said Balantekin, who was not involved in the study. “But for many of us, that’s a very high target, and we know that realistic goals are important for making meaningful behavior change.”
